Closing in on its 100th anniversary, the Manhattan Center building was originally called the Manhattan Opera House and was built by Oscar Hammerstein in 1906. After undergoing a series of ownership changes, the Manhattan Center emerged as one of the premier recording and performing facilities in the world.
