Check out our Williams Arena seating chart. If you do, you’ll be happy to see that the Williams Arena is ideally designed for sports. But that didn’t come easy. In it’s original life as the Minnesota Field House, which began in 1928 it served as a hot spot for Gophers sports. And it stayed that way from 1928 when it first started filling the seats with Gophers fans until the 50’s when it became even more vital by housing both the Gophers basketball team and the Gophers hockey team. By the 50’s, the two programs each occupied space in the building with the hockey section being named the Mariucci Arena.
The hockey team moved out in 1985 though, and the old hockey section now fills the seats with fans of Gophers volleyball and wrestling. In the meantime, the original Williams Arena seating chart of 14,000 remains intact, a capacity that kept it at the top until recently. The Williams Arena is also one of the few basketball facilities in the country that features a raised court, something any true basketball fan can appreciate.
So find your way to the corner of University and 19th and find your way to seats in the Williams Arena with a little help from GoTickets. You know they’ll be great seats because you landed them right here at GoTickets.com.
