Arie Crown Theatre
The Arie Crown Theater boasts the largest capacity (4,249) and largest stage (91x59 feet) in the Windy City. Opened in 1960 (with a capacity then of more than 5,000), the theater was closed from 1967 to 1971 after a major fire at the nearby McCormick Place convention facility. The theater did not suffer extensive damage but it had to be partially rebuilt and the seating capacity was reduced slightly. The theater rebounded to again become a top performing arts venue and then in the mid-1980s became primarily a concert hall. Get the best Arie Crown Theater tickets from GoTickets.
