Flames Ticket Info
The ‘13 season was quite a disappointment for the Calgary Flames as they failed to qualify for the ‘13 NHL Playoffs and finished 13th in the Western Conference. With a record of 19-25-4 in the lockout shortened ‘13 season the Flames only managed to accumulate 42 points. It was the fourth straight season that the Flames were unable to reach the playoffs.
Although the Flames were not able to qualify for the postseason, they did make some moves prior to the trade deadline that should bode well for their future. The Flames dealt their longtime captain, Jarome Iginla to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a first round pick and two college prospects. Iginla had played in Calgary for 17 years and is considered by many as the greatest player in the history of the franchise. Fans in Calgary were certainly heartbroken to see Jarome Iginla go, but understood that it marked the start of a new era.
As the Flames continue to rebuild with prospects and some veteran leadership, their fans remain among the best in the NHL. Despite their poor record last season, the Scotiabank Saddledome maintained a peak capacity for all 24 of the team’s regular season games last year. Calgary Flames tickets can often be difficult to come by, but not with the help of GoTickets.
