The ’12 Illinois football season is one that Illini fans will like to soon forget. It was the first season in Champaign for head coach Tim Beckman and the team struggled in the very talented Big 10. The team managed just two wins, both of which came in out of conference match-ups. The Illini were unable to come out victorious in any of their eight conference games but they were competitive in many of their 12 games. They were encouraged by the play of Junior quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase and feel that they can turn things around in year two of the Tim Beckham era. Check out our great selection of Illinois Fighting Illinis football tickets and make your plans to be at Memorial Stadium this fall.

2013 should be a much better year for the Fightining Illini. With a year of experience under his belt, head coach Tim Beckham should feel much more comfortable. Illinois begins the 2013 season with four straight non-conference games which should help them boost some confidence heading into games against Big 10 opponents. Illinois opens with home games against Southern Illinois and Cincinnati before heading to Soldier Field in Chicago to take on Washington. The Illini return to Memorial Stadium in Champaign to play Miami (OH) before the Big 10 schedule starts with a match-up in Lincoln against a very talented Nebraska squad. Other notable home games include the Illini hosting Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan State, and Ohio State. It should be a much better season for the Fighting Illini, so don’t wait on getting your Illinois football tickets!

This season will be a true test as to whether the Illini are ready to compete for a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game as they will really have some tough road games. But if they can win all their home games and steal a few games on the road, this could be an exciting season in Urbana-Champaign. You can be there with Illinois football tickets from GoTickets.
