Yellow Jackets Basketball Ticket Info
The Paul Hewitt era at Georgia Tech will be remembered for its ups and downs. Coach Hewitt made an immediate impact on the program when he took over in 2000-01 and took the Yellow Jackets to the NCAA Tournament. Over the next decade he achieved some incredible highs – like ending the Duke Blue Devils’ amazing 41-game home winning streak and going all the way to the Final Four in 2004 where they lost in the title game to Connecticut. But those ups were often followed by downs, as the Jackets posted a dreadful 2-14 record in the ACC in 2008-09. After another disappointing season in 2010-11, Hewitt was let go and Brian Gregory has taken over. Just like the change from Bobby Cremins to Hewitt, this coaching change could be the spark that the Yellow Jackets need to return to the top of the conference. You can see it happen with Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets basketball tickets from GoTickets.
Coach Gregory comes in with an impressive resume at Dayton, where he took the Flyers to the NCAA Tournament on two occasions and posted five 20+ win seasons in his eight years there. When you consider that Georgia Tech has considerably more resources and recruiting power as compared to Dayton, this could be the start of something special in Atlanta. And it’s not like Gregory doesn’t have talent to work with on the Georgia Tech basketball roster – last season the Yellow Jackets pounded North Carolina by 20 points. So pick out the games you want to see on the Georgia Tech basketball schedule and get your tickets from GoTickets.
One of the most shocking things about last season for the Yellow Jackets was that they struggled to sell out the Alexander Memorial Coliseum, better known as The Thrillerdome. You can bet that will change this season as there is renewed optimism that this program is headed in the right direction. Many of the big ACC games against the likes of Duke and North Carolina are going to be sold out, but you can always get Georgia Tech basketball tickets for any game at GoTickets. And if you want to see the Yellow Jackets in the ACC Tournament and NCAA Tournament, we have you covered there too.
