Ford Center-OK
The Ford Center in Oklahoma has done well in the past but its future may be even brighter. When the New Orleans Hornets lost their home to Hurricane Katrina it was the Ford Center that came to the rescue, offering the Hornets a new home and a solid fan base. Over the course of two seasons, Oklahoma City basketball fans proved that they were capable of supporting an NBA club by filing the 19,000 plus seats of the Ford Center for almost every game. The enthusiasm for seating in the ford Center has put Oklahoma City in the running for its own NBA franchise.
Adding an NBA team would only add to the solid mix of events at the Ford Center-OK. This facility already has a Central Hockey League team in the Oklahoma City Blazers and an Arena Football League team in the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz. Throw in a few BIG 12 Men’s Basketball Championships and a steady diet of concerts by popular recording artists and you’ve got the makings of a first class facility.
At GoTickets we’ve been keeping an eye on the Ford Center in Oklahoma for quite some time. The Ford Center-OK seating chart fits anywhere from 16,000 to 20,000 and offers visitors comfort, good sight lines, and excellent acoustics. When the NBA comes to town and that could happen anytime, the Ford Center-OK will be one of the busiest venues in the country.
