Events at Pepsi Arena
Formerly called Knickerbocker Arena, Pepsi Arena is among the biggest and most successful venues in upstate New York. Check out who has performed there in the past - U2, Elton John, Shania Twain, Britney Spears, the Grateful Dead and Bruce Springsteen are just a few of the big names who have come to Albany. The arena has also hosted the regionals for the NCAA basketball tournament and the NCAA Frozen Four (the same as the Final Four for college hockey). Since opening in 1990, more than seven million people have been to Pepsi Arena.
The Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League (AHL) also play at Pepsi Arena, as do the Albany Conquest of Arenafootball2 and the Siena Saints college basketball team.
