Martin Beck Theatre tickets have a long history of bring popular productions to the forefront of the New York City theater world. The Martin Beck Theatre opened in 1924 by vaudeville promoter Martin Beck with a lavish production of Madame Pompadour and has been cranking out the hits ever since. Shows like Kiss Me Kate, Man of La Mancha, and The Sound of Music, all performed within the last few years have simply enhanced the reputation of the Martin Beck Theater, recently re-named the Al Hirschfield Theater. The long successful string of hits and top quality shows continued in 2006 and beyond with an original production of The Wedding Singer with music by Mathew Sklar and lyrics by Chad Beguelin. The Broadway debut of Stephen Lynch in the role of Robbie Hart has been very successful.
