John Golden acquired this theatre in 1937 and continued its tradition of producing the finest productions he could find. Among his hits were A Curtain Call, Aries is Rising, and Waiting for Godot in 1956. More recently the John Golden Theatre featured the musical production of Avenue Q with music by Robert Lopez and Vincent in Brixton by Nicolas Wright.
