Events at Jacobs Theatre (view all)
Formerly known as the Royale Theatre, Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre tickets have delighted audiences since 1927. The theatre’s pre-Depression origins are apparent in the opulent and rich design created by architect Herbert J. Krapp. As was common in the years following the Stock Market Crash of 1929, the theatre changed hands numerous times and was used for various venues. In 1940, however, the theatre was restored to its original grandeur. In ‘05, it was renamed for Bernard B. Jacobs, longtime president of The Shubert Organization.
Jacobs Theatre is currently home to Once which is scheduled to open on March 18, 2013.
Once is an ‘06 film that has recently been adapted into a highly successful Broadway musical. Once originally appeared at the New York Theatre Workshop before moving to Broadway. It is one of the most highly anticipated shows of 2013. As a mid-size venue by Broadway standards, Jacobs Theatre seats just over 1,100. The theatre fill up fast, especially when a big Hollywood star is on stage. So make sure to get your tickets early on GoTickets.com.
