Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre Tickets
See for yourself why Vanity Fair calls Martin Short’s play “Fame Becomes Me” “HILARIOUS!” by purchasing your Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre tickets to the hit play on Gotickets.com. In the play, Short along with a scene-stealing cast bring their comic genius to this Broadway house.
But Short is only one of a long history of Hollywood stars to stage performances at the Jacobs Theatre. In March 2006, Julia Roberts made her Broadway debut in a lead role in “Three Days of Rain.” In recent years, Madonna appeared in David Mamet’s “Speed-the-Plow,” hip-hop icon Sean “P. Diddy” Combs starred in “A Raisin in the Sun.” And in years past, Mae West starred in the 1928 hit “Diamond Lil” and returned three years later to star in “The Constant Sinner.” While Julie Andrews, Laurence Olivier and Lauren Bacall have each made their Broadway debuts in various plays produced at the Jacobs Theatre.
Formerly known as the Royale Theatre, Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre tickets have delighted audiences since 1927. The theatre’s pre-Depression origins are apparent in the opulent and rich design created by architect Herbert J. Krapp. As was common in the years following the Stock Market Crash of 1929, the theatre changed hands numerous times and was used for various venues. In 1940, however, the theatre was restored to its original grandeur. Most recently, in 2005, it was renamed for Bernard B. Jacobs, longtime president of The Shubert Organization.
As a mid-size Broadway house that puts on both plays and musicals, the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre seating chart can fill up fast, especially when a big Hollywood star is on stage. So make sure to get your tickets early on Gotickets.com.
