Belasco Theatre Tickets

Belasco Theatre
111 West 44th Street, New York, NY, USA 10036

First opened in 1907 as the Stuyvesant, the name was changed in 1910 to honor David Belasco, who earned the nickname “The Bishop of Broadway” because of how he dressed. Some of the past stars to perform there include Walter Matthau, Jayne Mansfield, Humphrey Bogart and more recently Mark Hamill, of Star Wars fame.

Belasco Theatre is currently home to Golden Boy which opened in December and will run through January 20th, 2013.

Golden Boy is the tale of Joe Wellington. Originally from Harlem, Joe is able to literally fight his way out of the ghetto, becoming a prize fighter. This emotional rags to riches tale is one you won’t soon forget. Be sure to check it out when you are in the New York metropolitan area.
