Now playing at the Ambassador Theater is Chicago, a winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, Best Actor in a Musical (James Naughton), Best Actress in a Musical (Bebe Neuwirth) and Best Musical Director (Walter Bobbie). The New York Times has called it “far and way the best musical for grown-ups in town.”

Chicago has been running for nearly a decade, but it’s still wildly popular thanks in part to the hit movie of the same name starring Renee Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Richard Gere. That movie won six Oscars, and the Broadway musical has also won its share of honors. Described as “musical exploration of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery and treachery - all those things that we hold dear to our hearts,” Chicago is still among the toughest tickets on Broadway, so you are going to need some help from Gotickets to get your Ambassador Theater tickets and Chicago Broadway show tickets.

After opening at the Richard Rodgers Theater and then moving to the Shubert Theater, Chicago came to the Ambassador in early 2003. Listed as a New York City landmark since 1985, the Ambassador opened in 1922 and has gone through its up and downs in that time. But the theater is going strong once again now that Chicago is in town.
