Events at Wings Stadium
Wings Stadium welcomed visitors to its seats in 1974 and is still filling those same seats decades later. The original stadium is still intact, a 5,000 plus seat facility that acts as home base for both an ice hockey team, the Kalamazoo Wings, and will soon be welcoming a new team to the burgeoning sport of indoor football with the Kalamazooo Xplosion. In addition to sports, Wings Stadium has also been frequently used for concerts. In this capacity, the seating chart can be expanded to the floor and Wings Stadium can seat up to 8,000 concert goers.
Besides the main facility, there have been a couple of additions to Wings Stadium. The Annex is also used for smaller hockey events and can seat about 1,700 in a hockey configuration or a few more for trade shows and other events.
Then there’s “The Cube.” The Cube adds 17,000 square feet of floor space, and provdes another hockey venue to Wings Stadium. Beginning to get the idea that hockey is big in Wings Stadium? We thought so. But don’t forget that concerts are just as popular. Black Sabbath played here, as well as Boston, and Wings Stadium seats were sold out well in advance when Motley Crue hit Kalamazoo.
So strap on your pads for hockey or put on your concert going duds when seats in Wings Stadium go on the market. We’ve got you covered on both ends and all points in between with great seats to everything happening in Wings Stadium.
