Alumni Stadium Seating Chart Chestnut Hill MA 2167

Built in 1957, Alumni Stadium is home to the Boston College Eagles, who will move to the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for the 2005 season after being a longtime member of the Big East. Of course one of the most memorable games in Big East Conference history was back in 1984 when Boston College quarterback Doug Flutie threw a miracle Hail Mary to Gerard Phelan against Miami at the Orange Bowl.

Alumni Stadium, which seats 44,500, has also served as the home of the Boston (now New England) Patriots for the 1963 and 1969 seasons (including a preseason game where a fire under the grandstand forced fans to run onto the field for safety). The oft-traveled Patriots also played at Fenway Park and Harvard Stadium before finding a more permanent home at Foxboro Stadium and now the new Gillette Stadium.

The Eagles football program has been up and down since the Flutie years, but the team has now been to a bowl game six straight years and is perennially ranked among the top 25. If you want the best Boston College football tickets and Alumni Stadium tickets, check with Gotickets first.

The Eagles compiled a solid 9-3 record in 2004 culminating with a victory over North Carolina in the Continental Tire Bowl. BC also scored big wins over Notre Dame, West Virginia and Penn State during the season. The 2005 home schedule for Boston College kicks off against Army and then includes their ACC debut against Bobby Bowden’s Florida State Seminoles followed by Ball State, Virginia, Wake Forest and North Carolina State.
