Smoothie King Center

Smoothie King Center seating chart: Capacity 19,000. Possibilities for fun: Almost endless. The Smoothie King Center stands in the shadow of the Louisiana Superdome in the heart of downtown New Orleans. Now being next to an older and more famous brother can be a tough spot, but as the people who fill the seats of the New Orleans Arena can tell you, this facility only compliments it’s older and more famous neighbor. In fact, sometimes it outshines it.

The Smoothie King Center is the home of the New Orleans Pelicans. The REAL home of the Pelicans, despite their temporary exit to Oklahoma City. In ‘07 the NBA fans in the Crescent City welcomed the Pelicans back with sellout crowds, filling the seats of the New Orleans Arena to cheer on their team.

The Smoothie King Center is also the perfect place for football. Arena Football that is, and the New Orleans Voodoo have been a huge success, straining the seating capacity of the Arena at every home game and keeping football fever alive while the Saints are off for the year.

But while the New Orleans Arena is great for sports, it’s an even better place to catch a concert. The seats all have good sight lines, the acoustics are excellent, and since New Orleans draws celebrities like flies, every musician worth his salt is just dying to get down to New Orleans. All in all, you’ll find seating in the Smoothie King Center to be as good as it gets, in a city that has more personality than most.
