With a capacity of about 2,300, the Riviera Theater (or Riviera Night Club or just The Riv) is large enough to attract major musical acts but also small enough to offer an intimate setting. Opened in 1918 as a movie house, the Riviera was turned into a nightclub/concert hall in 1986 and has presented concerts by the likes of Billy Idol, Megadeth, Bad Religion and Sonic Youth.
