The Fillmore opened in 1912 as the Majestic Hall and Majestic Academy of Dancing. Over its more than 90-year history, the Fillmore has changed names and use many times - for a time it even served as a roller rink - but since the 1960s the venue has been one of the most important music halls in San Francisco.
