Officially known as Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, this football landmark has been packing them in since 1938. Razorbacks games have become so popular the University of Arkansas has hade to expand the stadium time and time again. In 2001 the seating chart went from 51,000 to 72,000. But that still wasn’t enough so in 2006, Razorback Stadium added bleacher type seating around the top to expand the seating chart to 76,000. They also added a huge video screen, known to Razorbacks fan as “The Pigscreen” so you won’t miss a single replay.
It is small wonder that seats in Razorbacks Stadium create such a clamor. In 2006 the Razorbacks went 10-2 and 7-1 in the conference, advancing to the SEC Championship game before falling to the eventual BCS National Champion Florida Gators. Along the way they clobbered Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and South Carolina in Razorbacks Stadium, making it a very unfriendly place for visiting teams. The Razorbacks finished the season ranked #15 and faced Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl. All that success adds up to one thing: Even more demand for seats in Razorback Stadium as the new season unfolds.
