If you like places with a lot of history you’ll love seats in Legion Field. Seating 71,000, this stadium has as much football history as any place in the country. Legion Field has seen a variety of teams hit the field. Located on the University of Alabama Birmingham campus, where it serves as home field for the UAB Blazers, Legion Field is probably most famous for being the original site of the Iron Bowl, the annual contest between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the University of Auburn Tigers. The Iron Bowl is one of the oldest rivalries in college football and probably one of the most heated. Seating in Legion Field was always a priority for Alabama and Auburn fans in those golden years.

When the Iron Bowl moved on to other venues, Legion Field found new life as the home of the Southwest Atlantic Conference Championship site. But in its lifetime Legion Field hasn’t lacked for teams at any time in its history. The Birmingham Stallions of the USFL played here as well as the Birmingham Barracudas of the CFL. More recently, the Birmingham Thunderbolts of the XFL played their wide open brand of football at Legion Field.

But with the UAB Blazers filling the seats at Legion Field this stadium is still going strong. The Blazers play host to some top quality college teams on their schedule. On any given week you could be looking at Blazers tickets for games against Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Marshal, UTEP, or the Georgia Bulldogs.
