Matthew Broderick is returning to Broadway staring in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Broadway revival of Christopher Hampton’s The Philanthropist. Written as a response to Moliere’s The Misanthrope, The Philanthropist is a comedy about the lives of intellectual college beings and their lack of knowledge regarding the political landscape around them.
