Based on the original children's book by 007 James Bond creator, Ian Fleming, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang comes to life on stage with a myriad display of gadgets and scenery from the mind of Anthony Ward. New songs were added to the original score by the movie's original composers, Robert and Richard Sherman, while Adrian Noble directs the cast.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, like the movie, follows a magical car that can drive, fly, and swim under the guidance of eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts. Potts tries to avoid capture of an evil empire that wants the prized car for themselves, while trying to rescue his niece and nephew from the sinister Baron Bomburst, and the equally evil, Childcatcher. Naturally he has help from family and friends as Potts and car romp through the quirky and lovable musical.

Fans of all ages will appreciate Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, especially the children. Boasting one of the youngest median age audiences for a musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang delights children with songs, scenery, and of course the animate car. Adults might relish the common James Bond themes found in a children's book.
