US Open Tennis 2011

What will the date be for the 2011 US Open Tennis? The US Open Tennis is held every year in August and September over a two-week period (the weeks before and after Labor Day weekend), so August 29th - September 11th, 2011 will be the dates for the 2011 US Open Tennis.

The main tournament consists of five different tennis event championships. They have the men’s and women’s singles tournament, the men’s and women’s doubles tournament and mixed doubles tournaments.

About the US Open Tennis

The first US Open tennis tournament was held back in 1881 in Rhode Island, and it was probably pretty easy to get US Open tickets for that event. And even though the last of the four Grand Slam events is now played at the enormous USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows near New York City, US Open tennis tickets can be tricky to secure on your own. At GoTickets.com, we have US Open seats for all 26 sessions, from opening day all the way to the men’s and women’s finals.

The major matches at the US Open are all played at Arthur Ashe Stadium, which holds more than 23,000 fans to rank as one of the biggest tennis stadiums on the globe. But there still never seems to be enough tennis tickets to go around, especially as the tournament advances closer to crowning the next champion. In last year’s men’s finals Juan Martin del Potro scored a shocking victory over Roger Federer, who had won five straight US Opens before that. So you can bet Federer will looking to avenge that loss this year, but Rafael Nadal and Andy Roddick will do their best to prevent that from happening. On the women’s side, Kim Clijsters won her second career US Open last year, and she’ll be one of the favorites again along with Venus Williams, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova. Get your US Open tennis tickets now.

In addition to Arthur Ashe Stadium, the USTA Tennis Center also features the 10,000 seat Louis Armstrong Stadium, which was the primary court at the US Open until ’96. Even though it’s been replaced by the newer Arthur Ashe Stadium in terms of capacity, there are still plenty of high profile matches contested at Louis Armstrong Stadium. There are numerous other courts on the grounds, and you can check out multiple matches throughout the day with your United States Open tennis tickets.

And if the US Open is not enough tennis action for you, GoTickets.com also has Wimbledon tickets, French Open tickets and tennis tickets to all the other big events during the year.
