The Los Angeles Kings had the honor of kicking off this season at London's O2 Arena with a two-game series against the defending Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks, who also happen to be the Kings' biggest rival since they are located just 35 miles away. The Kings split that series, the first regular season NHL games played outside of North America, and both games attracted a sold out crowd of 17,551. Since returning to the U.S., the Kings have played in front of several more sell outs at Staples Center. If you want Los Angeles Kings hockey tickets, even for sold out games, GoTickets.com has them for you.
It's been five seasons since the Kings last made the playoffs, and while that streak might not end this season, the team does have some young talent and management showed their commitment to winning by signing free agents like Michal Handzus and Ladislav Nagy before the season. Last season marked the final appearance by Kings legendary left winner Luc Robitaille, whose number was retired alongside other Kings greats like Marcel Dionne, Dave Taylor and Rogie Vachon.
