Going into the new season, eyes are on no set of players more than the Minnesota Wild roster. The team is looking to make big time waves this in the National Hockey League this year, after a season that saw huge positives, but just as many negatives. On the negative side of things, the Wild had the least goals in the entire league, and came out only third in the Northwest division. However, that very same team set a franchise record in November for wins in one month, toppling a slew of big names to win 11 games, one of which was a stomping of division rivals and ‘11-‘12 President’s Trophy winners the Vancouver Canucks. If you need Minnesota Wild tickets for this season, GoTickets has them.

The Wild were then able to then win the first five games of December, which placed the team in first place of the entire league for a while and set another record for a streak of road wins. One win was in new goalie Matthew Hackett’s second game, in which he beat future Stanley Cup winner Jonathan Quick of the LA Kings 4-2. Unfortunately, the Minnesota Wild schedule then got rough, and the team simply couldn’t hold on to its luck. With a series of injuries plaguing the upstart Minnesotans, the Wild were forced to rely on backup players in key positions. With the return of number one goalie Niklas Backstrom at the end of March, however, the Wild returned to form, losing only one game in the rest of the season, including beating the soon-to-be champions the Kings again. Make sure you are there this season with Minnesota Wild hockey tickets.

With all that they accomplished last season despite injuries, the Wild were already a hot team to watch this year, but they’ve managed to raise expectations phenomenally higher with their offseason moves. In what’s being called one of the biggest (if not the biggest) free agent moves in NHL history, the Wild picked up former Devils’ captain and excellent forward Zach Parise and star defenseman Ryan Suter. With these two titans on the ice at Xcel Energy Center, Minnesota Wild tickets are going to sell out quick, and interested fans should snap them up as soon as possible because this team is a legitimate Stanley Cup Finals contender.
