Buffalo Sabres Tickets

The Buffalo Sabres got off to a very poor start in ‘13. They fired long-time head coach Lindy Ruff just seventeen games into the season, replacing him with Darcy Reiger. Ruff had been with the franchise for over 16 seasons so it came as a bit of a surprise to Sabres fans that their coach would no longer be trolling the bench in Buffalo. Despite a change in the coaching staff, the Sabres were unable to bounce back and reach the playoffs. Buffalo finished 21-21-6, 5th in the Northeast Division.

The Sabres made several moves before the trade deadline last season. Buffalo traded T.J. Brennan, Jordan Leopold, Robyn Regher, and Jason Pominville before April 3rd. Fans in Buffalo were exactly thrilled to see so many talented players leave the team but the front office insisted that the moves were done in order to better the franchise down the road. The Sabres acquired a series of draft picks and young players which should help bolster the team for future. Although the Sabres were established in 1970, they are still searching for their first Stanley Cup. With so many young and talented players on the roster, a Championship could be a very realistic goal in the not too distant future.
