Last season was an interesting one for the Buffalo Sabres, as rumors swirled that the team might actually move until it was announced that Terrence Pegula had purchased the team with the full intention of keeping it in the city of Buffalo. And really that idea of moving the Sabres to Canada or anywhere else really didn’t make much sense, because few NHL cities have done a better job of supporting their team over the years. That was true again last season as HSBC Arena was filled to capacity for virtually every game on the Buffalo Sabres hockey schedule. If you want Sabres hockey tickets for any game this season, GoTickets has them for you.

Even though the Sabres did not make it out of the first round of the NHL playoffs last season, there are some positives that they can build on this season. For one, they compiled a very solid record with 43 wins and 96 points to tie for second in the Northeast Division, and Ryan Miller continued to establish himself as one of the premier goaltenders in the league. But the season ended with a thud as the Sabres fell in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals after a remarkable series against the Philadelphia Flyers. The series went the full seven games, with five of the games decided by a single goal and two of them going to overtime. Although the Sabres could not pull out game seven, they have already made some moves to improve the Buffalo Sabres roster and hopefully allow them to make a deeper run this season. It’s hard to believe but this will be the 14th season for head coach Lindy Ruff behind the Sabres’ bench. As a former player who spent more than a decade in the NHL with the Sabres and New York Rangers, Ruff has always had the respect of his players and he has a great name for a hockey coach. He took the Sabres all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals in his second season in Buffalo and has had them knocking at the door a few times since then. It’s always tough to find good HSBC Arena seats, but GoTickets has a wide selection in all price ranges. Check out the schedule and order your Buffalo Sabres tickets now.
