When you’ve got a team including the top point scorer in the league to go along side Sidney Crosby, you know that’s a team that’s going to have a big season. The Pittsburgh Penguins are a monster of a team, and last season saw the Pens get within one point of winning the entire Eastern Conference (108 to the New York Rangers with 109). Despite superstar Sidney Crosby’s long period of concussion recovery, the Pittsburgh Penguin roster scored 282 goals, the highest in the league, which included an incredible 50 goals and 59 assists from center Evgeni Malkin. You can count on excitement and scoring when you have Pittsburgh Penguins tickets.

One can only imagine what the Penguins could have done last season had their roster been healthy, as Crosby sat out more than 40 games and a slew of other players dealt with injuries throughout the season. Despite that, the Pens made a huge showing in the league, partly helped along by a breakout season from right winger James Neal, who made the top ten scorers list for the season with his 40 goals and 41 assists and earned a spot in NHL All-Star Game, along with Malkin. Their season was good enough to earn them a 4th seed berth in the playoffs, one above Atlantic Division rivals the Philadelphia Flyers, whom they faced off the bat. Everyone knew that these two offensive juggernauts of teams were likely to go hard, and that’s exactly what happened in six brutal games that had the whole sports world riveted. Unfortunately for the Penguins, the Flyers managed to pull out some huge goals for a victory, sending the favored Pens back to Pittsburgh. But they are ready again this season, and so is GoTickets with Pittsburgh Penguins hockey tickets for every game.

The off season has been a busy one for Pens GM Ray Shero, who took the opportunity to make some big changes to the roster. That, and a set of stars that will hopefully remain healthy, guarantees that the Pittsburgh Penguins schedule will feature a team ready to redeem themselves. The Pens are one of the teams to watch this year, so grab your Pittsburgh Penguins tickets early, especially for home games at Consol Energy Center.
