Last season was one for new beginnings for the Washington Wizards, who not only picked up a few new players, but also got themselves a new coach and new jerseys, which brought back the red, white and blue colors of the old school Washington Bullets era. The team is currently in the midst of a major rebranding and rebuilding effort, which began in ‘10 with chief owner Ted Leonsis, who took a fan-centered approach to the team. Under Leonsis’ leadership, the team has started to rebound from their bottom position in the league through some major changes and acquisitions and Washington Wizards tickets are getting hot once again.

It took a while for the Wizards to gel in their new situation with head coach Randy Wittman, who stepped up from assistant coach to the head position after Flip Saunders had a difficult start to the season. However, team leader John Wall managed to be eighth in the entire NBA in assists per game with an impressive 8.0 as well as 19th in the league in steals per game with 1.44. Once the Wizards started to click near the end of the season, they improved their record in a big way, winning eight of their last 10 games, six of which they knocked down in a row in by far their biggest winning streak. This amazing streak occurred right at the end of the season and included major upsets against the mighty Chicago Bulls and the Miami Heat. This spectacular end to the Washington Wizards schedule has fans hoping that the success carries into the next season, and it should have you looking for Wizards basketball tickets right now.

The offseason has seen some more tweaks to the Washington Wizards roster, which picked up dangerous forwards Trevor Ariza and Emeka Okafor as well as using their third overall draft pick to grab University of Florida star Bradley Beal. Fans lucky enough to be holders of Washington Wizards tickets will head to the Verizon Center this year with high hopes for the revamped team, and if the end of last season gives us any indication, this could be the year the Wizards return to form.
