Despite being without former league MVP Derrick Rose, the Chicago Bulls were still able to make some noise in the Eastern Conference last season. They finished with a 45-37 record which was good enough for 5th in the East. Under head coach Tom Thibodeau the Bulls have been one of the more dominant defensive teams in the league. That was certainly the case again last year as Chicago stymied opponents throughout the regular season and playoffs.

The Bulls’ Luol Deng and Joakim Noah were both named to the 2013 NBA All-Star Game. For Deng it was his second career selection, while Noah made his All-Star debut. January was one of the more dominant months of the regular season for Chicago as they went 12-4, including winning 6 of 7 on the road. Tom Thibodeau was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month. Heading into the postseason the Bulls knew they would have their hands full without D Rose. They were able to take down the Brooklyn Nets in the First Round, winning Game 7 on the road by a score of 99-33. Their next opponent was the defending champion Miami Heat. Unfortunately for Bulls fans that’s where their season would end. The Bulls put up a heck of a fight but in the end the Big 3 was just too much, the Heat ended the series in 5 games and advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals.

If you’ve never experienced a game in the United Center then you’re missing out. The former home of Air Jordan is an incredible venue for the NBA. Next time you find yourself in the Windy City be sure to check out a Bulls game. GoTickets has a great selection of Chicago Bulls tickets so order yours today!
