Brooklyn Nets
From ‘01-‘07, the New Jersey Nets were a dominant team in the NBA, and throughout their more than 30 years located in the Garden State, there were many other years where the team had great success. However, it has been since the ‘75-‘76 season, when the Nets were still based in New York, that the team has gone all the way and been crowned champions of the entire league (although they were in the American Basketball Association at that time). This year, for the first time since ‘77, the Nets have returned to the city they won the championship with, and the newly named Brooklyn Nets hope that this return to New York City will also be a return to victory. If you want to see their first season back in NYC, GoTickets has your Brooklyn Nets tickets.
The Nets are one of the most exciting teams in the league right now, with a new arena in Brooklyn called the Barclays Center, a new town, a new look and a set of recently acquired players that are hungry to prove themselves in the Big Apple. The Nets have had a struggle to return to form in recent years, though they haven’t been sitting idly by. The relatively new ownership of the Nets, helmed by Jay Z and Russia’s richest man, Mikhail Prokhorov, has been going through a major restructuring and re-branding effort. That’s not to say that last season had no bright spots: the Brooklyn Nets roster had one of the best rookies in the game in MarShon Brooks, who was honored by being named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Additionally, three time All-Star point guard Deron Williams had one of his best seasons ever, and he set a franchise record for points in a game with 57 in a nail-biting 104-101 victory over Charlotte. See what happens this season with Brooklyn Nets basketball tickets.
In addition to retaining Williams for this season’s Brooklyn Nets schedule, the team has acquired a large number of new, skilled players, including Joe Johnson, Reggie Evans and Jerry Stackhouse. With this being a new team with a new look, Nets playoff tickets are going to sell out like crazy, so make sure you get yours as soon as possible. And make sure you don’t miss the Battle of the Big Apple when the New York Knicks play the Brooklyn Nets this season.
