The Colorado Rockies have a relatively short history compared to most other Major League Baseball teams, but they have achieved a high level of success in less than two decades. As you would expect from an expansion team, the Rockies were not very good at first, although they enjoyed incredible support from Denver baseball fans who piled into Mile High Stadium in amazing numbers. For their inaugural season in ’93, more than 4.4 million Colorado Rockies tickets were sold with an average attendance of more than 55,000. In ’95, the team moved into Coors Field and surprised everyone by earning a wild card spot and a trip to the playoffs. They lost to the Atlanta Braves, but their success created even more demand for Rockies baseball tickets.

Over the next decade the Rockies continuously had a competitive team on the field but could not quite break through for another playoff run. But in ’07, thanks to an amazing streak to end the season in which they won 21 of 22 games, the Rockies made it back to the postseason and after sweeping the first two rounds of the playoffs they claimed their first ever National League pennant. The Rocks lost to the Boston Red Sox in the World Series, but they established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the National League. Watch this team make another run at the playoffs with Colorado Rockies tickets from GoTickets.com.

Due in part to the elevation of the Mile High City and the dimensions of Coors Field, the Rockies ballpark is known for producing a lot of home runs and some high scoring games. So if you buy Rockies tickets, make sure you don’t leave early, even if the score is 8-0. It’s not uncommon for teams to be make huge comebacks at Coors because they can score runs in bunches. The Rockies roster features several guys who can hit it out of the park at anytime, so they are always an exciting team to watch.
