For many teams in the SEC a record of 2-6 in conference and a trip to the Liberty Bowl would be a down year, but for the Vanderbilt Commodores football program it could be seen as a step in the right direction. Clearly the program still has a ways to go before it can challenge the likes of Alabama and LSU for the SEC title, but at least the Commodores are playing competitive football and are more than capable of springing a few upsets. Last season started out pretty well, as the Commodores won their first three games, including their SEC opener against Ole Miss. And even though they struggled to win a game at the elite teams of the SEC, they did put a scare into several of them, losing to Georgia by just five points and to #8 ranked Arkansas by just a field goal. Their 6-6 overall mark earned them a trip to the Liberty Bowl, where they lost to Cincinnati by a touchdown. Last season gives them something to build on, and it gives you a reason to buy Vanderbilt Commodores football tickets from GoTickets.

Even though current NFL quarterback Jay Cutler is long gone from the Vanderbilt Commodores roster, new head coach James Franklin has really raised the level of recruiting and it would be no surprise to see the program attract more players of Cutler’s caliber. You can watch this program start to rise up with Vanderbilt Commodores tickets.

As always, the Vanderbilt Commodores schedule will not be an easy one, but at least some of the tougher games are at home at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville. Among their home opponents are the South Carolina Gamecocks, Florida Gators and Auburn Tigers, and they will hit the road to face Georgia and new SEC member Missouri, in addition to a game against Big Ten opponent Northwestern in Evanston. You can be there for any or all the games this season with Vandy football tickets.
