For fans who wonder if this will be the year when a MAC title comes to DeKalb, the answer is: Yes, it could. Of course, this has been the answer for the last ten years.

Over the last ten seasons, Northern Illinois has had a winning record eight times. But over the last four years, despite a win-loss record that looks good on paper, the Huskies are 1-20 against teams that finished the season with a winning record. This is the year when the Huskies need to come up with some big wins at last, and they certainly have the pieces in place to do just that. If you want to be there to see it, get your Northern Illinois football tickets from GoTickets.com today.

The NIU Huskies roster brings back the main components of a rushing attack that finished first in the MAC last season, with senior Chad Spann taking the handoffs and running behind a solid line. Junior Chandler Harnish will call the plays under center, and senior wide receiver Landon Cox will be his top target. The Huskies defense led the MAC in yards allowed last year, and defensive ends Jake Coffman and Sean Progar lead a charge that would love to be able to say the same thing at the end of this next year. Helping out on defense are linebackers Alex Kube and Devon Butler, and this strong unit hopes to lead the way to a Mid-American Conference crown.

The NIU Huskies schedule brings all the excitement of MAC football to DeKalb this year, and the Huskies will also play tough non-conference games against Iowa State, North Dakota (at home on September 11th), Minnesota and a huge game against Illinois. After four away games in the first five weeks of the season, NIU returns to Huskie Stadium for three consecutive home games. The first of these will be against the Temple Owls (October 9th), a big matchup that could decide the best team in the conference. This battle is followed by games against Buffalo (October 16th) and Central Michigan (October 23rd), and NIU will return home two weeks later to face Toledo (November 9th). We have NIU football tickets for every game this season.

NIU Huskies tickets will be a hot item this fall as the Huskies make a run at a MAC title, and we can help you be there for all the big-time action.
