Oklahoma State Cowboys football ticket holders will see a familiar face roaming the sidelines of newly-renovated Boone Pickens Stadium during the 2005 NCAA college football season. Former Cowboy quarterback Mike Gundy takes over for Les Miles, who bolted to Baton Rouge to become head coach of the LSU Tigers. The Oklahoma State faithful are banking on Gundy, a longtime OSU assistant, to build on Miles' success and cash the Cowboys' ticket to the Big 12 Championship Game and elevate the excitement surrounding Oklahoma State Cowboys tickets.

For four years, Gundy had nearly all of Stillwater (Okla.) lining up to get their hands on Cowboys tickets. It didn't hurt to have former NFL greats Thurman Thomas, Barry Sanders and Hart Lee Dykes at his disposal. The Cowboys' all-time leading passer, Gundy was a four-year starter and helped Oklahoma State punch its ticket to two bowl games in the late 1980's. He thrilled the fans at then Lewis Field by passing for 7,997 yards and 49 touchdowns during his career, twice leading the Cowboys to 10 win seasons.

Before becoming the Cowboys' 22nd head coach on Jan. 3, 2005, Gundy spent 10 of the last 14 seasons as an assistant coach, the last four as Oklahoma State's offensive coordinator. Despite losing their leading receiver Rashaun Woods, their leading rusher Tatum Bell and their starting quarterback Josh Fields, the Cowboys, under Gundy's direction scored more than 34 points per game in 2004. Fans are expecting the same type of offensive firepower in the 2005 college football season and are hopping in line to pick up Oklahoma State Cowboys tickets.

Quarterback Donovan Woods and older brother wide receiver D'Juan return to thrill Oklahoma State ticket holders. The Woods brothers hooked up 29 times and for six touchdowns in 2004. Donovan Woods passed for almost 1,500 yards and 13 scores. D'Juan Woods, the Cowboys' leading receiver, finished with 650 yards.

The Woods brothers are just two of the reason to buy Oklahoma State football tickets as the 2005 college football season approaches. With a home schedule at Boone Pickens Stadium that features a showdown with a national championship contender, the Texas Longhorns, fans will want to get their hands on Oklahoma State tickets soon. Cowboys' fans also will be scrambling for Oklahoma Sooners tickets for their Bedlam rivalry in Norman, Okla., on Thanksgiving weekend.

With Gundy in command of the Cowboys' explosive offense and the Woods brothers back in full stride, Oklahoma State Cowboys tickets will be hot commodity around Stillwater.
