Missouri Tiger football tickets are moving fast and will be hard to catch-up with in the 2005 NCAA college football season, just like the Tigers' Heisman Trophy candidate, quarterback Brad Smith. For three years, Smith's unmatched versatility has dazzled the Tiger faithful, who have bought Missouri football tickets and packed Memorial Stadium in record numbers. In return, head coach Gary Pinkel has re-energized the Tiger program, treating Missouri fans to a trip to the Independence Bowl in 2003. This season, in anticipation of another run at the Big 12 North title and another trip to a bowl game, Tiger fans have been spotted flying around the campus in Columbus, Missouri, trying to get their paws on Missouri Tiger football tickets.

No one has been able to get their paws on Smith, who held off on cashing his ticket to the NFL and enters his senior season as college football's active leader in total yardage with 9,348 yards. He has accounted for 73 touchdowns in his three years, second only to the USC Trojans' Heisman Trophy winner, quarterback Matt Leinart. But Smith is much more of a running threat than Leinart. He needs just 12 rushing yards to become only the third player in NCAA college football history to have at least 3,000 yards passing and rushing.

In 2002, more than 60,000 fans bought Missouri Tiger football tickets and packed into Memorial Stadium to see Smith shred the Oklahoma Sooners' vaunted defense. Only a freshman at the time, Smith total 316 total yards and threatened to derail the Rose Bowl-bound Sooners. Smith finished with 231 yards rushing and two touchdowns and threw for 178 yards and another score. But to the dismay of the Missouri Tiger ticket holders, Bob Stoops' Sooners would mount a late rally to knock off Smith and the Tigers on their way to winning the Big 12 Championship.

With Smith back for one more season, Pinkel has all of Columbia focused on one thing - a Big 12 Championship of the Tigers' own. But first Smith and company will have to deal with some the Big 12's elite teams. Missouri Tiger football tickets will be a hot commodity when the Texas Longhorns and their Heisman Trophy candidate, quarterback Vince Young, visit Memorial Stadium for the Tigers' Big 12 opener on Oct. 1.
