The Iowa State Cyclones finished last season with a record of 6-7 in the very challenging Big 12. After getting off to a 3-0 start, the Cyclones fell to Texas Tech at Jack Trice Stadium by a score of 23-14. The Cylcones surprised many when they took down the TCU Horned Frogs on October 6th at Amon G. Carter Stadium. It was certainly the biggest win of the year for Iowa State as they lost the remainder of their games to ranked opponents. After completing the regular season 6-6, the Cyclones were invited to the Liberty Bowl to take on Tulsa. It was actually the second time that Iowa State would take on Tulsa in 2012. In the first week of the season, the Cyclones defeated the Golden Hurricanes by a score of 38-23. Unfortunately for ISU fans, the same wouldn't be true in the Liberty Bowl. They lost to Tulsa by a count of 31-17 in front of over 53,000 fans.

The first two games of the year for Iowa State are against two in-state rivals. They open against Northern Iowa at home and then welcome the Iowa Hawkeyes to Jack Trice Stadium on September 14th. Other highlights on the 2013 Iowa State football schedule include games at home against Texas, Oklahoma State, and TCU. There are also several very challenging road contests in 2013 for ISU. They travel to Lubbock to take on Texas Tech, Waco to play Baylor, Norman to square off against the Sooners, and wrap things up November 30th at Mountaineer Field against WVU. It should be a very exciting and challenging season for Iowa State, so don't miss out. Order your Iowa State football tickets today!

The Baylor Bears open with a series of very winnable games to start the 2013 season. They host Wofford, Buffalo, and UL-Monroe in the first three weeks of the season before welcoming the West Virginia Mountaineers on October 5th. The Bears will look to avenge last season's loss against the Mountaineers by taking care of business at Floyd Casey Stadium. The remainder of their schedule includes match-ups against four more teams who are ranked in the Top 25 pre-season. They host the Oklahoma Sooners on November 17th, travel to Stillwater on November 23rd to take on the Cowboys, play at TCU, and finish at home against the Texas Longhorns over the course of the final five weeks of the season.

The Iowa State Cyclones are heading into their 4th year under head coach Paul Rhoads who is 24-27 for his career. He will look to bring continued success to Ames, as the Cyclones football program has reached bowl games in back-to-back season for the first time since '04-'05.
