While a victory in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl over Western Michigan is not quite equivalent to a BCS bowl game appearance, that accomplishment did represent a big step forward for the Purdue Boilermakers football program as the team made their first post season appearance since the ’07 season. Perhaps even more importantly, Purdue scored a huge win last season over the Ohio State Buckeyes to prove that they can compete with any team in the tough Big Ten Conference. Head coach Danny Hope has brought a new level of optimism to West Lafayette, so now is the time to order your Purdue football tickets for this season.

The Purdue Boilermakers football schedule features an early season road game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and then the Boilermakers will welcome the Michigan Wolverines and Wisconsin Badgers to Ross-Ade Stadium in consecutive weekends in October. Another highlight of the schedule will be an early November appearance by the Penn State Nittany Lions. This could be the year that Purdue makes some noise in the Leaders Division, so make sure you are there with Purdue Boilermakers tickets for all the games you want to see.

While the Purdue Boilermakers roster might not be loaded with quite as much talent as some of the traditional Big Ten powers, this program has been known to find some diamonds in the rough to help them succeed. Of course Super Bowl winner and current New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is at the top of the list, and coach Hope has proven to be a master recruiter in his relatively short time at Purdue. There are currently three former Purdue quarterbacks in the NFL, and maybe a fourth possible one will emerge this season.
