The Michigan State Spartans got off to a hot start last season when they defeated the Boise State Broncos in week one. It was one of the better games of the entire season and Sparty was able to hold of BSU by a score of 17-13 in East Lansing. The Spartans ended up finishing the season a disappointing 7-6 but there were many highlights in addition to their first win of the season. Michigan State also captured wins over Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Minnesota before earning a bid to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl in Tempe, where they were matched up with the TCU Horned Frogs. Sparty held off TCU by a score of 17-16 to capture yet another bowl win. Many experts expect the Spartans to improve on last season and Mark Dantonio has his team focused. Although the Spartans lost running back Le’Veon Bell their offense should still be among the best in the Big 10. In 2013 they will have to deal with several hurdles if they want to make it to the Big 10 Championship Game. After three non-conference games to start the season, Sparty will head to Notre Dame to take on the Fighting Irish. The Megaphone Trophy will be on the line September 21st as the Spartans look to avenge a 20-3 loss to last year’s BCS National Championship runner-up. At home this season Michigan State will host Indiana, Purdue, Michigan, and Minnesota. The time is now for Sparty, will they answer the bell? Find out with Michigan State football tickets from GoTickets.

Head coach Mark Dantonio rarely plays a soft schedule and this year is no exception. If his team can get through the gauntlet that is the Big 10, then they will have a real shot at a BCS Bowl Bid. Be there to cheer on Sparty all season long with Michigan State football tickets!
