Last years season was highly successful with a record of 8-5. Among the eight wins were victories over Florida State, Clemson, Virginia and Duke. The Deacons have won 28 games in the last three seasons. Only 18 teams in NCAA’s Football Bowl Subdivision have won over 20 games since 2006. The 2006 season saw Wake Forest win its first ACC Championship since 1970. Under Grobe’s steady guidance the Wake Forest Football program has become full of excitement and expectations. Now in his ninth season with the Demon Deacons, Grobe’s team is looking to win another ACC Championship and get an invite to a BCS Bowl Game.
