The Syracuse Orange will officially move to the Atlantic Coast Conference this season. In their final year in the Big East the Orange finished 8-5, including a 5-2 record in conference. Led by fourth year man Doug Marrone, Syracuse should be one of the more competitive teams in the ACC this year, despite it being their first. Last season the Orange had a very challenging scheduling including three games against teams in the Top 25. They were just 1-2 in those games but remained competitive in that trio of games. They were able to defeat the very talented Louisville Cardinals who are led by standout QB Teddy Bridgewater. The Syracuse fan base is very excited for the team’s move to the ACC and why shouldn’t they be?

Coach Marrone has a strong incoming class of freshman on the Syracuse Orange roster and that should help them be more competitive in the revamped ACC this season. The Syracuse Orange football schedule starts with a non-conference game against the Penn State Nittany Lions of the Big 10. The game will be played at a neutral location on August 31st at the brand new MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Then on September 7, the Orange will face the Northwestern Wildcats, who are one of the most talented teams in the Big 10. Their ACC schedule includes home games against Clemson, Wake, and Boston College as well as road games versus the NC State Wolfpack, Maryland Terapins, and Florida State Seminoles. It won’t be easy as the Orange transition to the ACC but you can be their to witness it all with Syracuse Orange tickets for every game this year, at home or away.

The ACC is there for the taking and the Syracuse Orange believe that they can contend immediately. See if ‘Cuse football is for real this season by ordering your Syracuse football tickets today from GoTickets!
