Lorenzo Romar has quietly turned the Washington Huskies into a perennial NCAA Tournament team with an appearance in the Big Dance in each of the past three seasons. In fact, he’s made it to the tourney in six of his nine seasons in Seattle and he has three trips to the Sweet Sixteen to his credit. The Huskies are coming off a strong season in which they finished with a 24-11 record and went 11-7 to finish third in the Pac-10 Conference, which this year will be the Pac-12 Conference since Utah and Colorado have joined. The Huskies also won the Pac-10 Conference Tournament last season with a thrilling overtime victory against Arizona in the championship game. That should set Washington up nicely for a run at this season’s Pac-12 title and Pac-12 Conference Tournament. And with plenty of talent returning to the Washington Huskies basketball roster, they could also make a big run in the Big Dance. Get your Huskies basketball tickets soon.
The Huskies play their home games in one of the oldest arenas in the country, Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion, or just Hec Ed as it is often called. The arena has undergone a series of renovations over the years, and now gone are the pillars that used to obstruct the view from many seats in the upper level. The seating capacity has also been increased to 10,000, but that’s still not enough Huskies basketball tickets for many games. That’s why so many fans get their Washington Huskies tickets from GoTickets.
The team started last season’s Washington Huskies basketball schedule at #18 in the polls and they made it all the way up to #13 before dropping back down again. Few teams in the country had a schedule as tough as the Huskies did with early season games against Kentucky, Michigan State and Texas A&M. Washington lost all three of those games against ranked opponents, but only by a total of 13 points so they were just a few breaks away from winning any of those. With a little luck and some added experience this season, they should contend in the Pac-12. So get your Washington basketball tickets soon.
