The Purdue University Boilermakers have quietly become one of the premier programs in the Big 10 Conference. The Boilermakers began playing basketball back just before the turn of the 20th century and officially joined the Big Ten when it was formed in nearly 110 years ago. Purdue has won more Big Ten basketball championships than any other school (22), and were national champions in ‘32 and ‘36. Purdue has been to the NCAA Final Four twice, and lost the NCAA championship game to UCLA in ‘69. They are ready to make some noise this season, and GoTickets has your Purdue basketball tickets.

The Boilermakers play in Mackey Arena, a 14,240-seat facility on the north side of campus in West Lafayette, Indiana. Mackey Arena sells out for almost every home game, so if you are not a season ticket holder, you might need some help from GoTickets to find Purdue Boilermaker tickets.

Head coach Matt Painter has been with the Purdue program since ‘05 when he took over from the legendary Gene Keady, and has been instrumental in returning the Boilermakers to the top rung of the Big Ten. Painter recruited All-Americans JaJuan Johnson and Robbie Hummel, with Hummel just being drafted as the 58th pick in the ‘12 NBA draft. Purdue finished the regular season at 22-11 last year, and managed a 10-8 record in Big Ten conference play. The Boilermakers beat St. Mary’s in the first round of March Madness, but bowed out in the second round. Now they are looking to go deeper, and if you are looking for Purdue tickets we have them for you.

Like almost every team in the Big Ten, the Purdue Boilermakers schedule next year looks brutal, and with Robbie Hummel and colleagues graduating, the Purdue Boilermakers roster and depth chart is in flux. That said, coach Painter has a knack of turning four star recruits into All-Americans, and the Purdue faithful are counting on him working his magic on a couple of this year’s incoming class. One reason for hope is that the Boilermakers have a knack of starting off hot – last year they began the season with a 12-0 run. So make sure you are there from start to finish with Purdue Boilermakers basketball tickets.
