3com Park Tickets
Monster Park ticket holders have been treated to some fantastic sports and entertainment in its rich history. Situated on Candlestick Point near the shores of the San Francisco Bay, the stadium has always been known for its breezy afternoons. The location was chosen by the city due to the low price of the particular plot of land. However, with developers only looking at the site during the morning hours they failed to realize that the afternoon winds that build in the near by Pacific Ocean would play a major factor to events that take place in the stadium.
Once known as Candlestick and 3Com Park, Monster Park went through renovations in the winter of 1971. The stadium improvements added more seats in the outfield of the park and made room for a football playing field to be utilized to house the San Francisco 49er’s. These improvements reduced the strong winds somewhat, but caused them to swirl badly with in the walls of stadium. Monster Park seating charts will show that any event will have a great view of the day’s attraction.
One of the most famous events to take place in Candlestick Park was the October 17th game of the World Series in 1989, even though this game never took place. A large earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale rocked the area mere minutes before the first pitch. Amazingly no Candlestick Park ticket holders were hurt in the quake, although the stadium did succumb to some minor damages; play was resumed ten days later. For a day at the ballpark, if it is to see the NFL’s 49er’s or any other of the City by the Bay’s attractions, Monster Park tickets are a fantastic purchase
