Taylor Gang General Wiz Khalifa is arguably the biggest rapper in the world right now. Hailing from Pittsburgh Wiz began like many hip-hop stars do, working his way through the ranks by performing at small venues across the country and dropping a series of mixtapes.

In the early stages of his career, Wiz often rapped about hustling and making it to the top one day on his first few mixtapes. Long time Khalifa fans remember the Prince of the City days and other classic tapes like Star Power and Flight School. In ‘06 Wiz released his first studio album, Show and Prove. Although it didn’t do very well commercially, it laid the ground work for the rest of his career.

Wiz’s break through came in ‘10 when he released his now classic mixtape Kush & Orange Juice which brought him a tremendous amount of new followers. The buzz behind Wiz Khalifa would continue into ‘11 when he released Cabin Fever which helped to bring more attention to his then upcoming album Rolling Papers.

Rolling Papers was one of the biggest albums of ‘11, it reached number two on US Charts and was certified gold by the RIAA. Tracks like “Black and Yellow,” and “Roll Up,” were huge successes for Khalifa. Now Wiz is prepping for his new album, O.N.I.F.C., set for release at the end of ‘12.

Those that have been fortunate enough to see Wiz Khalifa perform live know that he brings an energy and excitement to the stage rarely seen by rappers these days. Its evident that Wiz thoroughly enjoys being in front of a crowd and takes pride in his every performance. You can find tickets to Wiz Khalifa’s 2050 tour with the help of GoTickets.
