Tex-Mex styled band Los Lobos formed in 1973 in East Los Angeles. At the start they took on British influences like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones but, over the years they have blended their own musical concepts together to become the biggest “Mexican” band in the world. Gaining major recognition for their remake of the song La Bamba, for the Lou Diamond Phillips movie of the same name, Los Lobos took that bit of success and turned into a career of critical acclaim.
