The Beach Boys are one of the most iconic music groups in the history of American music. Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, along side Mike Love and Al Jardine were the original members of the Beach Boys, which formed in 1961. They were able to capture the culture of southern California during the 60’s with songs about surfing, hot rods, and girls.
As the group continued to experiment with different sounds and try out new ideas they found increasingly more success commercially. Their second studio album, “Surfin’ USA,” reached number two on US Charts and was certified gold in 1963. From there on, The Beach Boys would crank out hit record after hit record creating some of the most important and influential tracks of the 1960’s.
After celebrating their 50th anniversary together in ‘10 and ‘11, The Beach Boys released a new album in June of ‘12, titled, That’s Why God Made The Radio, which peaked at number three on US charts.
Not only have The Beach Boys found success in the studio, though. Their live shows have been praised as some of the best in the business.
