The city of Dallas emerged from the wilderness in the mid-1800 and now plays a crucial role in the economic and cultural life of Texas. Coupled with its neighbor, Fort Worth, the Dallas area sports a population of over 6 Million people. The economic engine that drives the area is deeply rooted in the oil industry but in the past few decades financial and technological firms are finding their way to this Texas city. A strong and growing economy, coupled with a plethora of leisure activities easily available, have made Dallas a highly desirable place to live and a compelling tourist city.

Theater tickets in Dallas also have plenty to offer. Besides established venues such as the Dallas Children’s Theatre and the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, the city is well underway in the construction of the Dallas Center of Performing Arts, a multi-use site that will feature concerts, live theater, and opera.
