About Chris Stapleton

Born in Paintsville, Kentucky, Chris Stapleton grew up listening to traditional country music and was influenced by artists such as Waylon Johnson and Willie Nelson. He began playing guitar at an early age and started writing his own songs as a teenager.

In the early 2000s, Stapleton moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music. He worked as a songwriter and session musician for several years before forming the bluegrass band The SteelDrivers in 2008. They released three albums and won a Grammy Award in 2011 before disbanding in 2013.

In 2015, Stapleton released his debut solo album, Traveller. The album was a critical and commercial success, winning the Grammy Award for Best Country Album in 2016. He followed it up with two more acclaimed albums, From A Room: Volume 1 (2017) and From A Room: Volume 2 (2018), which also won Grammy Awards for Best Country Album.

Since cementing his status as a country music legend in the making, he has released more critically acclaimed albums, dominated awards shows, and likely already secured a spot in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
